Chemstar Strain Review

While revisiting the very first medical cannabis dispensary I ever frequented I was pleased to acquire one of their newest strains all be it in their smaller bud form. I t had been a while since I had been to this dispensary and the sense of change was apparent everywhere due to the expanding medical program and possible legalization looming closer as well as the dispensarys focus on the newly unveiled concentrates including topicals and distillates.
And while all the change and excitement was clearly evident in the brand new staff and the vibe of the place clearly more frenetic, I was glad when after that first puff all the changes with the dispensary hadn’t affected the quality of their cannabis flower. Chem star’s the strain and Sativa dominance is its game despite its Chem Dawg and Deathstar lineage (which includes Death star’s Indica side).
Having had Deathstar before from a different dispensary I knew this strain would have some kick and I surely wasn’t disappointed! A smooth terp-drenched inhalation danced the strong flavors of punching diesel, sour citrus, skunk and sweet herbal notes across my palate while the aroma of this herb was equally captivating ; delivering effervescent sour citrus’s with a clearly Super Glue or Gorilla Glue-esque scent backed with some earthy diesel and a cedar or sandalwood also perused my nose.
With its THC level 18.73% and low amounts of CBD this strain produced a medium to high potency effect that took little time to manifest in the center of my forehead and melt slowly down into my shoulders. The traditional Sativa robustness of energy and mood elevation were clearly apparent while the sometimes notorious sativa side effects of anxiety and mind- raciness were distinctly absent to me. Chemstar finished with a pleasant body relaxation providing a decent level of anxiety pain and muscle tension release.
While definitely a morning or midday strain I appreciated the calm that followed the energy and mood elevation and the pain ,depression ,and anxiety relief quickly make this a highly recommended strain.
