Where to Find Cannabis Seeds in Colorado

Saturday April 11, 2015

T he weather is warming up which means it’s time to start planning your outdoor grow. If you’ve been thinking about growing marijuana outdoors here in Colorado (or pondering a move to our fine state so that you can), then you’ll need something to help you get started.

One option is to start with clones of other “mother” plants. You could get clones from friends or buy a few from a place like LaContes Clone Bar or Ballpark Holistic Dispensary, but it is important to remember that bringing clones into your grow might also introduce contaminants such a pests and disease to your other plants, though this is less of an issue when growing outdoors. Clones also tend to be less capable of handling stress and often experience transplant shock if not thoroughly rooted, so be sure to check your clones before purchase.

If you’ve got a collection of “bag seeds”, you can try sprouting them indoors for future transplant, but keep in mind that these seeds might not be as viable as the ones you’d get from a dispensary or breeder. They may thrive indoors, for example, then burn up outdoors or offer little resistance to pests.

To ensure you have the most success in your outdoor grow when starting from seed, we suggest finding some from a reputable genetics lab or a dispensary with a proven track-record of high-quality buds.

Employees at these locations will also have a slew of information for you about each strain, including plant characteristics, temperament and expected harvest time. When you purchase your seeds, be sure to consult your budtender about best growing practices for each seed.

Of course, you won’t be able to sprout cannabis seeds without knowing how to find them first. Though there are a number of dispensaries that occasionally sell marijuana seeds, there are only a few that continuously offer high-quality seeds at affordable prices.

Here are some our favorite places to find marijuana seeds in Colorado.

Colorado Seed Inc – Various Locations

Colorado Seed Inc has been developing their genetics in Boulder, Colorado since 2008. They currently offer 24 different strains of seed, including Ghost Ship, Bootlegger and Night Nurse. Colorado Seed Inc only sells wholesale, but you can find a list of dispensaries that carry their products on their website. If you are looking for Colorado Seed Inc genetics in Denver, we would recommend The Health Center.

The Green Solution: Rezen8 Seeds – Various Locations

The Green Solution (TGS) sells Rezen8 Seeds throughout their many locations in the Denver Metro area. Rezen8 Seeds crosses some of the most popular strains available at TGS, with a proprietary male strain called Barberry Brute which is known for increased yields and high resin production. The end result are stable, premium genetics for both novice and experienced cultivators.

They currently offer Sour Diesel, Bubba Kush, Golden Goat and Blue Dream crosses.

House of Dankness – Denver

At House of Dankness, customers can purchase packs of non-feminized Rare Dankness seeds in coveted strains like 501st OG, Ghost Train Haze #1 and Rug Burn OG. Both Rug Burn OG and Ghost Train Haze #1 have won accolades for their top-notch quality, as well as many other Rare Dankness genetics.

The collection of genetics spans the last three decades and represents the finest specimens of cannabis strains in the world. The seeds available at House of Dankness are always changing so check them out and claim your prized genetics today!

Finding marijuana in Colorado is easy enough; finding seeds, on the other hand isn’t quite there yet. Though there are some very reputable stores where you can find high-quality cannabis seeds in Colorado, those places are not as common as the average dispensary.

Because of the limited number of seed distributors in Colorado, many residents have turned to online orders. Though this can be a great way to find new and exciting strains, there is still risk involved ordering online. To ensure you get the seeds you want when you want them, we suggest shopping local as much as possible.

str8 fuego ,fire fire smells through 3 baggies, sheesh this is potent, solid trichomed nuggets little rocks an oz looks like a half oz rocky trinkets will ko you smell so good like ice cream cake strain

My award winning Hybrid was by Source & contained 20% THC. The full buds were frogging green with touches of purple & had orange/brown pistils. A thick layer of snowy trichomes covered the buds. Happy, uplifted, & relaxed were the effects I got from the sweet, earthy, & minty buds.

SUPURB. Ostentatious but not overbearing. Limy green. Not skunky. more sort of pungent. Not a really natural smell. More hydroponic influenced aroma. But smells grand. packs right. smokes sweet. can’t bite. and now it comes in a vacuum pack. ha ha.

Perfectly balanced hybrid. Became my favorite after trying it only once and I’ve been smoking for the last 20 years and that’s never happened to me. Luv this stuff

A little sleepy, purple color but not purple taste or smell. Herby Mint taste mixed with og taste. Very Stinky buds, flowery classic weed taste and smell. Relaxing, helps calm restlessness effectively still has a little fuel like stimulation in the chest. Smells like chocolate/ coffee funk from a distance, slightly minty for the first few vape puffs. Some buds really taste just like thin mints, chocolate mint cookie especially with a thick vape puff. The avb gummy bears were potent. I like variety, but I would get this one again and again. Perfect medium large bud structure, medium fluffy, but very sticky if compressed enough.

This is one among the phenotypes of the strain, 'Girl Scout Cookies'. This hybrid strain contains 'Durban Poison' and 'OG Kush'. This is another indica-dominant strain with THC percentage of 28%. This is the winner of third place in the '2014 Seattle Cannabis Cup'. The buds of this plant are foun…

silver pearl seeds

silver pearl seeds

We didn’t gro w out enough SP to make a d ecision on variability, but this I can say: its growth characteristics are looser than NL, with slightly lower yield. Its taste is thick, warm, sweet- sort of like incense and toffee. Its very vigorous. The high is not bad. At first, it can be quite shocking (giving a ‘hangover’ after a night on it), but after you get used to it, the ‘power’ hit lasts about an hour, is slightly sativa, but is characterized b y the sativa/indica cross type high. Its not couch lock, nor is it get up and go speedy.

Silver Pearl

Flowering: 45-50 days.
Height: 100-125 cm.
Yield: up to 100 gr.
Finishing date in greenhouse: mid -October.
Yield in greenhouse: up to 500 gr.

This 3 way hybrid contains Early Pearl, Skunk #1, and Northern Lights. This hybrid is quicker and sweeter than the Shiva Skunk. Excellent indoor and greenhouse results. Plants exhibit frosted resinous characteristics of the Northern Lights #5 and the sweetness and calyx-to-leaf ratio of Early Pearl / Skunk. One of our favourites and in 1994 the winner of the mixed Indica/Sativa category

My Silver Pearl is beyond wonderful! VERY HALLUCINOGENIC tastes sweet like honey, not my favorite flavor but a great accomplishment. I sent away for silver pearl seeds from mike 12 days ago, he says they are on the way so I?m hoping for Friday, then greenthumb at my friends house! Damion

Silver Pearl hallucinogenic You bet it is! Never grew it (but have the golden ticket to do so, thanks mike) had it last year grown by a friend (he purchased seed in Adam himself) I’m a heavy to ker and Ill tell you, 2-3 bong hits to be high as a kite, 6 or more and you?ll start seeing what I mean. Share a blunt with friends and enjoy an even better ride!

The taste of the silver pearl had no noticeable Skunk taste in it. This seems to be right on target with the silver I’ve smoked and the Early Skunk (EPXSK#1) that I have grown. The taste of the EP (very sweet with almost minty undertones) seems to be the dominant trait carried by this strain. I love the taste. The High of the EP X SK #1 is kind of heady and very functional. One of my favorite “Utility Smokes”. Great for the morning are a couple of hits at lunch. – D

Silver Pearl is a taller plant the sto ne is more up, while Super Skunk is shorter a bit heavier yield more body stone -haven’t grown either since 90 so may have changed but both were nice. -Oldtimer1

Old timer described the 2 perfectly: Super Skunk will give you that couch potato stone and Silver Pearl is more energetic/hallucinatory. I’d go with the pearl unless your growing for yield. – DAMIONSIN

I just finished super skunk and have Silver Pearl coming right behind it. the Super Skunk is really kind bud, but nothing all that special. IMHO the silver pearl will be the better strain. – NYC

If I was given the choice, I would choose Silver Pearl over Super Skunk anytime. This plant has the power of NL (after 2.5 weeks flowering the buds are so resinous they stick together), the ease of growth of Skunk (never goes hermy), and the delicate class of the sativa Early Pearl. This has to be one of my favorite smokes -the smoke is sweet, orangy-incense, and the high is a full-on trippy head rush. I’m no great fan of anything to skunky- its all a bit the same, I think its best to mix it with other stuff. – retro13

For the other side of the coin, I’ve grown Super Skunk (Sensi ’95) and it performed very well (especially since the price was like 60 guilders or so). It would make a great commercial weed very resinous, nice fat buds, though not the densest. Good deep smell, I don’t like it but many people do. The high is strong and covers both sides. it will put you to sleep if you smoke too much. I would say the Silver Pearl would probably be better I the weed is just for you, or the SSkunk if it is more commercial. – Shabang

As far as variability is concerned, I’ve worked a bit with early pearl (one of the parents), and have decided that this strain is much more variable than I previously assumed. There are two main phenotypes, and when bred against other things, I’ve seen quite a few different groupings of characteristics coming through. As far as I’m concerned, SP is likely to be kept, just because it’s a regular, normal, easy plant to crop without it being too indica, and without having all the hassles o f the harder sativas to crop. It takes cuttings well. If I was you, I’d plant as many seeds as you’ve got and see what comes out. It can have a very nice growth pattern- early and advanced branching, but looser nodes than NL. The leaves stick out on long stems (an EP trait) which makes manicuring as easy as a walk in the park. – retro13

Northern Lights x Silver Pearl: These dark green buds are completely coated in light crystals, making the buds at first seem a lighter green. The buds are evenly covered in light orange hairs, as well as hairs that are almost flesh colored. Their structure is highly compact as small buds break up substantially releasing a super-sweet green bio scent (quite expected from this lineage!). The taste when smoked is mild, yet sweet and fruity and expands slightly in the lungs. The high is spacey and visual and comes on quickly. It’s a bit forgetful and a bit lazy, a nice rainy-day-got-nothing-else-to-do bud. ****1/2 – Homepage Amsterdam

Power Pearl: This is the daughter of the Silver Pearl. These buds are a bright light green, sparsely coated with even lighter crystals and covered in short orange-red hairs. They are very dense but snap crisply apart, and leave your fingers tacky and sticky. The stems taste very piney, while the buds smell piney, skunky, and pungent. The smoke is full bodied, skunky, and unbelievably smooth! The high is quite spacey, but energetic and takes just a few minutes wait to some on. **** – Homepage Amsterdam

mad hatter strain

Ever heard of Mad Hatter.

kether noir
Well-Known Member

A good friend of mine stopped by with a gift. a 1/2 o of Mad Hatter.
I’ve never heard of it, and searching brings up nothing, so far anyway.
My friend got it through a dispensary his girlfriend works at in so. ca. so, it may just be a strain that is only local to the dispensary, or the breeder that supplies it.

But, back to my intent, Have you ever heard of Mad hatter? any background on it?

it’s light green. very frosty and covered in hairs. it looks very similar to strawberry cream.

after one big bowl

it’s definitely a hybrid but sativa dominate. very thick and sweet smoke, yet incredibly smooth. hats off to the cure job on this. euphoric and content with a recurring of butterflies in my stomach. high is strong behind my eyes. very dry mouth
racing mind, forgetful, creatively inspired, desire to talk, and content to just stare at the screen and day-dream.

purple hindu kush strain

Purple Hindu Kush Strain Review

For fans of indicas that seep deep into the body, one location consistently produces heavy hitters. Strains that hail from the mountains dividing the Indian subcontinent from Central Asia to West and China to the East are known for their heavy relaxation effects. From Burma to Bhutan to Nepal and Afghanistan, this is ground zero for the heavy stuff. This Purple Hindu Kush strain, a cross between Purple Afghan and Hindu Kush, is no exception.

The strain presents medium sized buds, sage in color, turning to lavender near the tips of the flower. The buds are coated in extremely fine white trichomes with an abundance of vivid orange hairs. The fragrance is distinct, but not overpowering with abundant sour grape teased by a high note of spicy pine, although these notes don’t transfer strongly to the flavor profile.

This is not some go out and kick it with some friends ganja. This isn’t a good weed to take along with you on a hike. This is some heavy indica, sit yourself down, gonna take a whole lot of effort to stand up and walk to the bathroom type of product. For those looking for anxiety relief and deep relaxation, we highly recommend Purple Hindu Kush. And while every individual reacts differently, we’ve had almost no problems with dryness in the mouth or eyes after consuming this Kush, nor did we experience significant hunger effects.

Indeed, despite the heavy medication, this product leaves the smoker relatively lucid, making it a good choice for a book or a movie. But take care if you let the lights fall too low; you may just find yourself slipping off into an easy sleep. Right now, we’ve got product in from Fine and Dandies, a cannabrand we more typically associate with edibles, coming in at 19.23% THC under the new OLCC testing guidelines.

purple marijuana strains

Purple Cannabis Strains

Marijuana comes in different colors depending upon the nature of the environment it is grown in, the temperature and a slew of other factors. One of the most sought after color these days among growers and smokers alike is purple, not only due its astonishingly attractive appearance but also the vibes it gives you when smoked.

The smoke produced by the purple strain is extremely strong and of the highest quality due the high levels of THC. The flowers of purple cannabis can dazzle the viewer with their sparkly, glittery and exotic look. This, combined with the otherworldly sensations it provides, has made purple cannabis a favorite among cannabis lovers in a very short time.

What Makes Them Purple?

Until recently, the exact theory behind the cannabis strains turning purple was not known. They used to simply turn purple naturally in specific temperatures when growing outdoors and being exposed to cold. The growing interest and demand from the cannabis industry have led to research to find out what exactly makes them purple. This has enabled selective breeding programs that have produced cannabis strains that turn purple even in normal conditions, much to the delight of purple marijuana lovers!

Purple Kush Feminized Seeds, High THC with Pure Indica High.

The Science Behind The Purple Color

The green color in plants comes from a pigment called chlorophyll which by nature tends to break down in cold conditions. Another pigment that affects the colors in a plant is called Anthocyanin and is known to be the main culprit behind the purple colored strains. Anthocyanin is present in all parts of the plant including the leaves, stems, roots, flowers and fruits.

Depending on the genetics of a particular cannabis plant, anthocyanin may overcome the effects of chlorophyll and turn the color of the plant into something other than green during the latter part of the flowering period when chlorophyll dies. What color the plant will eventually take is controlled by the pH levels of anthocyanin in that particular seed.

• Acidic pH turns the plant red.
• Neutral pH leaves a purple hue.
• Alkaline pH makes the plan blue.

How Cold Weather Helps

When the days become shorter during the winters, the natural process of photosynthesis is slowed down as light-dependent plants are signaled to stop producing chlorophyll. If the timing is right, the flowering period coincides with the dissipation of chlorophyll from the plant which allows the anthocyanins to kick in and impose their color on the cannabis strains.

How to Grow Purple Cannabis Strains

Whether you are trying to grow purple cannabis for personal reasons such as to impress your friends or simply to enjoy its distinct taste, or doing it for business reasons and serving the needs of your customers, it is essential to know the right way to grow it. When growing purple strains, you do not only want to achieve the purple color but also want the distinct taste that only a perfectly grown strain can give.

Let’s dive right into the exact method that you can follow to grow the unique and perfect purple-hued marijuana.

The Wrong Approach To Grow Purple Marijuana Strains

Some growers, knowingly or unknowingly, make the mistake of inducing purple color by depriving the plant of oxygen, carbon dioxide or increasing the nitrogen levels. This rarely works and you are more likely to lose your crop instead of getting a purple color. Some people also try artificial methods such as food coloring to dye the plant and hoping for the best. Needless to say, this is not a good reliable or long term approach. Changing the light levels or the amount of water for the plants is also not a great way to achieve purple strains.

The Right Approach To Grow Purple Marijuana Strains

Like most things in life, good things do not come easy and that is true in this case as well. Growing the perfect purple plant requires added effort and extra care from the grower but it is well worth it.

Follow this step by step guide that we have perfect over a long period of time to ensure that you are fully equipped with all the necessary information.

Click to Browse the Best Purple Cannabis Strains/Seeds

STEP 1: Choosing the Right Cannabis Seeds

The first and, without a doubt, the most important part of growing purple cannabis strains is selecting the correct seed. To achieve purple hue, the seeds must have the genetic ability to produce anthocyanin, the pigment that gives the purple color to plants in the later stages of cultivation.

Through evolution, some plants have developed the natural ability to reduce chlorophyll production towards the end of their growth cycle. In other cases, this can be achieved by exposure to cold temperature but the tendency to produce the purple colored pigment is a must-have when deciding on what seeds to choose for cultivating purple cannabis plants.

STEP 2: Providing the Right Temperature

With correct seeds at your disposal, it is time to grow your plants in just the precise temperature enabling the anthocyanin to take its effect and overcome the green color of chlorophyll. Anthocyanin pigments are produced naturally throughout the course of the plant growth but their effect is hidden due to the comparatively stronger influence of green chlorophyll pigments.
Our aim is to reduce the effects of green colored chlorophyll pigments as much as we can and let the purple pigments take over.

During the fall months, the green pigments tend to break down and this is when anthocyanin begins to take its effect. This is when getting the right DIF (Differential temperature) enables the plant to turn purple. Ideally, the difference between day and night temperatures should be 30 degrees. This means that if your daytime temperature is 80, the night temperature should be set to 50. The ideal night cycle temperature during the flowering period is believed to be below 10 degrees Celsius or 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

If you do all of this correctly, the bud usually begins to change into purple color two weeks before the harvest.

General Tips On Growing Purple Cannabis Strains

1. In case the plants are growing too slowly, it is recommended to test the soil for suitability and make sure you are using the right fertilizers. Many growers can get demotivated and lose hope when the only problem is not making sure that the soil quality is up to the mark and choosing the wrong fertilizers.

2. You can grow the plant indoors as well as outdoors but it is always best to keep it indoors since you can control the environment easily and keep it safe from external factors such as animals, kids or jealous neighbors.

3. Purple marijuana plant can grow as high as two to three feet so take that into account while setting up your cultivation facility.

4. Unless going into a Cure Process, The best time to enjoy your purple cannabis is when it is almost nearing the harvest stage so be sure to plan your activities accordingly to get the most out of it, be it sharing the good stuff with your friends or selling it off to your customers.

Health benefits of Purple Cannabis

Aside from the recreational uses of purple cannabis strains, the Anthocyanins found in them, are known to carry a great number of health benefits such as:
• Powerful antioxidant properties
• Pain relief properties
• Neuroprotective properties
• Anti-inflammatory properties

Some other useful properties purple strains are thought to possess but that are not yet backed by sufficient scientific research are
• Reduction in chronic diseases
• Improved cardiovascular health

Obesity prevention

In short, if ample resources are brought to use and correct measures are taken to discover the mystery of increased anthocyanin production in cannabis in cold environments and concrete evidence of its positive effects on human health is brought to light, nothing can stop purple cannabis from taking the crown of the most popular cannabis strain in the world.

The Ultimate Guide to Purple Marijuana Strains.

best short flowering strains

10 Fast-Growing Cannabis Plants for Impatient Gardeners

There are a significant number of prospective cannabis growers who are turned off by the fact that cultivating pot is classified as a lengthy and arduous process.

How often have you read online guides that emphasized the expense involved in growing marijuana?

Aside from the nutrients, fans, space, seeds, and soil or growing medium, you have to consider the lengthy flowering period.

Once you include the seedling and vegetative stage, you will find yourself waiting months for your marijuana to harvest. The internet age has spawned an era of impatience; a desire to get things done yesterday. As a result, breeders have busily looked for ways to speed up the weed growing process.

In the old days, those who purchased their seeds from the black market would attempt to create hybrid strains to find attributes suited to clandestine growth, and designed for a fast turnover. As discretion was paramount, indoor growing was essential which meant the ensuing plants would be short and stocky but provide above-average yields. Occasionally, they would use auto-flowering strains . In the end, they were able to benefit from a fast flowering period and a lightning-quick turnover.

Today, this knowledge has been gathered and updated. As a result, novice growers can utilize a huge array of cannabis strains with short flowering times. It is even possible to shorten the vegetative period in certain strains, which means professional growers can churn out multiple harvests each year.

In this guide, we have located ten marijuana strains that grow exceedingly quickly; the best short flowering strains as well as the quickest autoflowering seeds. Imagine finding a strain capable of flowering in just seven weeks! We have included auto-flowering and photoperiod options to increase the likelihood of you finding the perfect marijuana strain for your needs. Before you start, lease make sure that it is legal to grow cannabis in your state of residence and that you remain within the legal limits.

Best Short Flowering Strains: Photoperiod Strains That Grow Quickly (7-9 Weeks)

These strains have a shorter flowering period, which helps make sure they’re ready for harvest relatively quickly. These strains are ideal for impatient gardeners that really just want their flower to be available as soon as possible.

1 – Lowryder (Hybrid Cannabis Strain)

Although it is classified as a hybrid, Lowryder is very close to being a balanced 50/50 strain. It was inbred for an incredible nine generations by Joint Doctor Seeds, which is why it has its famous diminutive size.

Often compared to Bonsai trees, Lowryder is a tiny but mighty marijuana strain that seldom grows higher than 16-inches; a fact that makes it perfect for indoor grows with limited space.

It is a tough plant capable of surviving in harsh climates, which is why it is grown in places such as Finland, Alaska, and Canada. It is regarded as an all-time classic hybrid and is a cross of Willy’s Wonder and Northern Lights #2. With a THC content ranging from 12% to 20%, Lowryder is a strain suitable for most novices, so long as they use it responsibly.

It is one of the easiest strains on the market to grow because it requires very little maintenance above the bare minimum. With a flowering time of just 40-45 days, Lowryder can provide you with its energetic high in double quick time, and it clocks in just below many of the popular choice 50 day flowering strains! It produces around 12 ounces per square meter planted when grown indoors.

Lowryder is a fragrant strain with an aroma reminiscent of Christmas. A combination of a sweet and piney scent is a real treat to the senses. Once you have a few smokes, you will definitely enjoy the fruity flavor, although you should be wary of the strong aftertaste.

It is popular among creative individuals such as musicians and writers because it helps inspire creativity. It offers relaxation without causing the body to ever feel heavy. The cerebral buzz eventually makes its way to your body, and don’t be surprised if you end up in a fit of giggles!

You can use Lowryder as a daytime strain because your mind remains clear. It is also known as an excellent strain for socializing, so feel free to take some before hanging out with friends. However, as it is a hybrid, it has been known to make some users feel sleepy. We recommend experimenting at home to see how it affects you. Lowryder has been used to treat insomnia and chronic stress disorders .

2 – Critical Kush (Indica Cannabis Strain)

Critical Kush is an extremely powerful and potent marijuana strain that is NOT for new users! It is an indica dominant (90%) hybrid created by Barney’s Farm Seeds. Although Critical Kush is technically a hybrid created from a cross of OG Kush and Critical Mass , its effects are predominantly indica.

Growing Critical Kush is fairly easy, which is unusual for such a potent plant capable of producing high yields.

Although it is tough enough to withstand adverse climate conditions, it grows best in warm and temperate conditions. It can complete its flowering cycle in just 50-60 days, and some growers have reported a staggering indoor yield of 21 ounces per square meter.

If you decide to grow Critical Kush, be VERY careful when using it! It has an exceptionally high THC content of up to 25% and is capable of hitting you like an express train. It is 100% a marijuana strain for late evening or night time use because it induces couch-lock fairly quickly.

In higher doses, Critical Kush will make you feel sleepy , so we say it’s best left for when your day is finished. Users often report a feeling of euphoria, and while it changes your mood for the better, you won’t be able to do much other than sit or lie down and enjoy the experience.

It is an aromatic strain known for its earthy scent that carries the merest hint of sourness. It offers a creamy, herb-like taste with a slight touch of citrus. Critical Kush has become one of the most popular medical marijuana strains and is used to treat and manage a host of conditions. It is championed by many as an excellent stress-reduction tool, and also has pain relieving qualities. That’s why MMJ cardholders use it to treat migraines, muscle spasms , back pains, and a variety of other inflammatory conditions.

3 – Early Girl (Indica Cannabis Strain)

Occasionally referred to as ‘the girl next door’ within the marijuana community, this indica dominant (75%) hybrid is known for its rapid flowering time of 7-8 weeks. Early Girl was created by Sensi Seeds in the 1980s when the famous breeder crossed Afghani and other northern Indian Indica strains with a potent Mexican Sativa.

If you are a new marijuana grower looking for an effective stress-buster, the Early Girl strain is your girl!

As well as being easy to grow, Early Girl is highly resistant to the majority of pests and molds . It is also a durable plant which is more forgiving than most when it comes to making amateur mistakes. Early Girl grows equally well in soil or in a hydroponics setup, and the Sea of Green technique is an excellent method of improving yield. You can expect 14-18 ounces of bud per square meter.

Although Early Girl’s THC content goes as high as 20%, you can find versions with just 12% THC. Either way, this strain is very different from Critical Kush because it provides you with a gentle, yet noticeable, high. At the start, you will feel clear-minded, and before you know it, your mood has improved and you become more amiable and chattier.

Although Early Girl is relatively potent, you never feel overwhelmed. While you won’t experience a sudden burst of energy, you will enjoy the feeling of euphoria that makes you more sociable. Eventually, the indica part really kicks in to soothe and relax the body. It is not a strain for a secret outdoor smoke due to its pungent lemon scent, but its tangy citrus and pine flavor is a real treat.

In the medical world, Early Girl is preferred by patients in search of a mood booster . As a result, individuals with depression may find this strain to their tastes. While it is not regarded as a potent strain, chronic pain sufferers suggest that its long-lasting and even effects are just what the doctor ordered.

4 – OG Kush (Hybrid Cannabis Strain)

This marijuana strain is one of the most famous West Coast varieties, and its origins are as mysterious as this weed is delicious! According to one story, the ‘OG’ relates to, which was the largest cannabis site in the world until the Canadian government spoiled the fun and shut it down in 2006. Another tale suggests it is an homage to Original Gangster, a famous California strain.

OG Kush is said to be a cross of Hindu Kush and Chemdawg , but since it came from bag seed in the 1990s, it is difficult to say this is a fact. Imperial Genetics has been credited with bringing the seeds to Colorado and Southern California from Florida, and there are several well-known phenotypes of the strain, including Alpha OG and Tahoe OG.

OG Kush is an indica-dominant (75%) hybrid that has a high THC content of up to 26%, and its indica properties come to the fore as soon as you use it.

OG Kush is notoriously strong and can easily prove too much to handle for inexperienced users. It hits you hard almost immediately with a potent euphoric high coupled with a powerful cerebral buzz and a shot of energy.

However, once the initial effects wear off, OG Kush gets to work on your body, and soon you will feel chilled out, relaxed, and happy. It is an ideal strain to use at the end of a hard day at work, but be careful; some users have reported feeling spaced out after using it. This strain is also associated with the munchies .

OG Kush is famous for its strong, earthy scent with sticky, resinous buds as a feature of the strain. It tastes a lot like it smells; fresh and earthy, with a subtle woody texture along with a semblance of spice. As a medical marijuana option, OG Kush is often used to provide muscular relaxation, and long-lasting relief from nausea , migraines and chronic pain. It is also a popular option among those with anxiety or depression. OG Kush has a flowering time of around eight weeks and typically yields up to 17 ounces per square meter.

5 – Superglue (Hybrid Cannabis Strain)

If you’ve ever worked in an office, there will be days where you will do just about anything to break the monotony. While Superglue is not the right option when at work due to its sedative effects, it is perfect for when you get home and want to relax after a day you would rather forget.

This hybrid strain is slightly indica biased (60%) and was created by Seedism Seeds. It is a cross of Northern Lights and Afghani. With a THC content ranging from 18 to 23%, it is a marijuana strain that warrants respect. After a few tokes, you’ll feel uplifted by a potent cerebral high.

Although it enables you to stay functioning at work, we believe Superglue is a better strain to use at home because the indica side takes over and begins relaxing the body. Superglue’s sedative effects really creep up on you, and soon you’ll succumb to couch-lock – not a good look when you have to file an office report!

The strain gets the name ‘Superglue’ because users are typically glued to their sofa or bed soon after using it!

It is a relatively difficult strain to grow because of its susceptibility to mold . Superglue also develops large colas, so make sure there is good airflow in the grow room. It will thrive if you grow it indoors or outdoors, but if you stay inside it will flower in as little as eight weeks. You should benefit from a yield of 14 to 18 ounces per square meter planted.

Superglue’s strong diesel scent may be off-putting to some, and its woody, chemical, and citrus flavor pattern is an acquired taste. While you may think it doesn’t sound appetizing, we can assure you that it tastes fantastic. Superglue is used by people with depression and has also been a helpful aid for insomniacs. Once the effects begin to wear off, you’re likely to feel extremely hungry.

Quickest Autoflowering Seeds: Fast-Growing Cannabis Flowers (7-12 Weeks)

In addition to cannabis strains with short flowering periods, there is a second classification of speedy weedy options, which are referred to as auto-flowering strains.

6 – Red Dwarf (Indica Cannabis Strain)

Red Dwarf is a special Skunk variety strain that is an extremely rare auto-flowering plant. It possesses cannabis ruderalis genetics , which is the third type of marijuana plant (aside from indica and sativa). Ruderalis is said to have grown in the Soviet Union and Russia in general and is known for its ability to thrive in harsh climates.

Red Dwarf was created by Buddha Seeds, and it is renowned for its remarkably fast flowering time of just six weeks!

Although it has ruderalis genetics , Red Dwarf is a pure indica and a cross of ruderalis and a White Dwarf phenotype. Aside from the rapid flowering time, this strain is adored by indoor growers because it grows small and squat, which makes it easy to grow in a smaller space. Seriously, you can place a few pots in a broom closet and it will provide more than enough room! Moreover, it is possible to grow up to 16 ounces of bud per square meter planted.

Once you grow Red Dwarf, please note that it has an extremely pungent odor which makes it tough to conceal. You will feel almost instant sedation when you use this strain with moderate couch-lock that keeps you awake but utterly relaxed. It is definitely a bad choice of smoke at work because you will be easily distracted and spaced out. It won’t take a detective to figure out that you are completely stoned!

In medical terms, Red Dwarf is favored by patients with conditions such as tension headaches, migraines, chronic pain, appetite loss , inflammation, stress, and nausea. The bud has a scent and taste that reminds you of coffee, and the nugs are rather hairy and coated with beautiful white trichomes. It has a THC content of between 7% and 15%, making it mild enough for new users.

7 – Hobbit (Hybrid Cannabis Strain)

This is an extremely alluring strain developed by Kannabia Seeds. Noted for producing a high yield despite a short flowering time of 65 days, this auto-flowering marvel is becoming very popular. It is a balanced hybrid and a cross of Ginger Ale and an unknown Ruderalis strain. As a consequence, Hobbit is a fairly balanced mix of sativa, indica, and ruderalis, a rarity in the world of weed.

As you can probably guess, Hobbit was named after the famed characters from the Lord of the Rings novels. While its THC content can be described as ‘above average’ at 15%, it is not a strain that will knock you flat out. Indeed, the high is every bit as balanced as one might hope, which means it can be used in the morning, evening, or at night. For most users, it is the strain of choice when they wish to relax with friends and have a day of pure laziness.

Soon after using Hobbit, you should experience a feeling of relaxation and happiness. Don’t be surprised if you develop a sudden appetite. Eventually, you feel a slight tingle in the forehead and behind the eyes. Next, the high makes its way to the rest of your body and ensures you feel a little bit sleepy. However, we have to emphasize this fact; you should be in a state of complete bliss throughout.

Hobbit is used to treat a wide range of conditions including insomnia, depression, hypertension, and mood swings. It is especially useful if you have chronic pain and find it difficult to sleep. The sweet aroma is pleasant, and the sugary strawberry taste makes you want to come back for more. When you grow Hobbit indoors, you can get up to an ounce per seed. However, when you grow outdoors, the yield swells to over two ounces per seed. As it is highly resistant to fungus and pests , Hobbit is ideal for newcomers prone to making mistakes.

8 – White Ryder (Hybrid Cannabis Strain)

Riot Seeds developed White Ryder , which is a cross of Lowryder and White Dwarf. It is a fascinating attempt at creating a Ruderalis version of the famed White Widow strain.

Thanks to the efforts of this particular breeder, you now have access to a strong indica dominant hybrid that auto-flowers in less than 80 days.

The Ruderalis genetics means it grows relatively short and squat, perfect for indoor growers! Also, when we say it is strong, we mean it. With a THC content of up to 24%, White Ryder is probably a strain best avoided by inexperienced users . If you decide to use it in any case, make sure you begin with a small dose. It doesn’t take long to get to work as you should feel an almost immediate uplifting cerebral high that initially clears the mind and helps you focus on certain tasks.

However, we don’t recommend White Ryder for morning or afternoon use. The initial mental stimulation you feel is soon replaced by a feeling of full body relaxation. Before you know it, all you want to do is find the nearest place to sit down as couch-lock takes full effect. Eventually, you will struggle to move so if you take this before or during work, you will regret it. It is best used in the evening to help you wind down and chill out.

White Dwarf is said to be effective as medical marijuana. Its sedative effects make it a great option if you suffer from insomnia. Have a few tokes about an hour before bed, listen to some good music, and drift peacefully off to sleep. White Dwarf is also great if you need to alleviate the yolk of body pain . Finally, it is a strain that may have some merit if you suffer from depression or an anxiety disorder.

9 – Purple Cheese (Hybrid Cannabis Strain)

This strain sounds like cheese that has been left out too long but trust us; it is one of the finest fast-growing auto-flowering marijuana strains you’ll find. It was bred by Auto Seeds and is a cross of Blue Cheese , Lowryder, and Purple No. 1. The breeder wanted a hybrid that didn’t come with the often-intense flavor of Blue Cheese, and they also wanted a relatively high CBD strain , and they have achieved their goal with Purple Cheese.

Purple Cheese is a balanced hybrid with 12-16% THC, but its 4% CBD content ensures you benefit from a balanced high.

When Purple Cheese was initially released, it was considered one of the most potent strains around. If nothing else, this is an indication of how quickly breeders have developed new techniques for growing ultra-powerful strains.

If you’re used to rapid effects, you’ll need patience when using Purple Cheese as the high takes a while to appear. Eventually, you will feel positively euphoric with a clear mind and a lot of energy. When the effects make their way to the body, you’ll have a decided feeling of couch-lock. Overall, the high can last for up to three hours.

Purple Cheese is yet another strain on this list known for how easy it is to grow. It doesn’t take up much vertical space which makes it perfect for an indoor grow.

Although it isn’t quite as short as Lowryder, this plant seldom grows higher than 80cm indoors. It should flower within 8-9 weeks and produce up to 14 ounces of bud per square meter planted. Purple Cheese is a unique strain insofar as it allows for two outdoor harvests per year, in July and October.

Users love Purple Cheese because of its delightful fruity aroma. It is less cheesy tasting than Blue Cheese, but you should still enjoy the flavor. Due to its full-body effects and high CBD content , this strain is one of the most popular choices for patients with body pain . It is especially useful if you are suffering from a degenerative condition. Purple Cheese is also used by individuals with depression and it may provide you with some benefit if you suffer from an anxiety disorder .

10 – Royal Haze (Sativa Cannabis Strain)

Also known as Royale Haze , this heavily sativa-dominant (85%) hybrid is filled with exotic flavors that dance on your tongue. It was originally created by Dinafem Seeds and is a cross of Northern Lights, Skunk #1 , and Haze genetics. Royal Queen Seeds has developed an auto-flowering version by crossing Skunk, a Ruderalis strain, and Amnesia Haze .

Not only does Royal Haze have a powerful THC content of up to 20%, but it is also known for providing one of the longest lasting highs. You should feel intense euphoria within moments, but this cerebral buzz is not fleeting. Instead, it can last for hours so its effects may come as a surprise to new users.

Royal Haze is the ideal strain for anyone seeking a mood boost. As well as clearing the mind, it helps drive creativity. The soothing sensation you’re likely to feel towards the back of your head will relax you in ways you can’t even imagine. The body high provided by this marijuana strain is not particularly strong which means you should be able to complete your tasks without a problem.

Royal Haze isn’t a difficult plant to grow, and it is different from most sativas insofar as it has strong stalks.

Its Skunk #1 genetics ensure that it is sturdy and full of branches. It can grow up to 14-feet tall outdoors which makes it a bad choice for a secret marijuana field! It adapts well to Screen of Green and Sea of Green training techniques, but you should perform early topping to manage its height. It flowers in approximately 10 weeks indoors and produces up to 18 ounces of bud per square meter.

The spicy citrus and pine fragrances are pleasant, as are the delicious tropical flavors with citrus lingering on the palate. As you might expect, Royal Haze is valued as a stress reliever and an anti-depressant . It is also used by individuals with PTSD and anxiety. The high THC content means it could also act as an effective painkiller.

Final Quick Tips on Getting to Harvest Faster for Impatient Gardeners

First and foremost, choose one of the ten fast-flowering strains we mentioned above. No matter what tricks you use, certain strains will NOT flower quickly. For example, Hazes are notorious for their lengthy flowering periods. In fact, Haze #1 can take 12-16 weeks! Once you have selected your ideal strain, consider the following for a faster harvest.

1 – Greater light exposure during the vegetative stage

Your marijuana plants will remain in the vegetative stage as long as they receive 14+ hours of light a day. Traditionally, plants grown using an 18/6 cycle (18 hours of light, 6 hours of dark) are more resistant to pests and diseases. However, if you expose your plants to 24 hours of light a day , they will grow faster. As a result, you can force them into the flowering stage sooner.

2 – Begin the flowering stage ASAP

Did you know that non-auto flowering marijuana plants can be flowered directly from their seeds? All you need to do is change the light schedule to ensure your crop is exposed to 12 hours of continuous darkness each day. This process makes your plants believe that winter is coming which means they begin making buds as soon as they are capable.

In most cases, the countdown begins around a month from the planting of the seed, but with certain strains, you can trim a week or two off the timeframe. However, please note that flowering from seed is inefficient because your plants won’t have enough time to grow stems where the buds form.

3 – React to problems quickly

A lot of new growers don’t seem to realize that growth slows down every time your plants gets sick. Every new issue adds days, or even weeks to total growth time if you don’t solve it at warp speed. Key problems to look for include pest infestation, nutrient burn or deficiency, light burn, and heat stress.
