Ethos Genetics’ Banana Daddy Auto is a THC dominant variety and is/was only available as feminized seeds.

Ethos Genetics’ Banana Daddy Auto Description

Banana Daddy Auto Rbx2 from Ethos Genetics is an exciting feminised autoflowering cannabis hybrid created by crossing the auto version of Ethos’s own Banana Hammock with the legendary US classic Grand Daddy Purple, resulting in a fast, fragrant, flavourful and highly productive autoflower variety.

Banana Hammock Auto x Grand Daddy Purple
The autoflowering version of Banana Hammock is the mother of this variety, an Indica/Sativa hybrid that combines Grape God (God Bud x Grapefruit) with one of Ethos Genetics’ favourite varieties to work with: Mandarin Sunset (Orange Velvet x Herijuana) and results in a vigorous and productive plant offering a pungent cocktail of terpenes with tropical fruit, honey and grape aromas and a very potent effect.

The other half of this hybrid is Grand Daddy Purple and should need little introduction, a staple of the US west coast cannabis scene. A cross between the Cali cut of Purple Urkle and Big Bud, producing a heavy-yielding and hard-hitting Indica hybrid with rock hard, resin-coated buds and a distinctive grape and red berry flavour.

Banana Daddy Auto Rbx2 – Fast Flowering & 27% Total Cannabinoids
This automatic cannabis hybrid is easy to cultivate and grows vigorously from the very beginning, reaching a medium height. The full life-cycle from germination to harvest is from 70 to 80 days and ends in a heavy harvest of fat, resinous and terpene-rich flowers, with a total cannabinoid content of 27%!

The aromas and flavours are predominantly floral and reminiscent of sweet grapes and sandalwood. The effect is physically relaxing but mentally focussed with a euphoric high.

Cannabis Review 29: Banana Daddy #10

Hello, my canna-cuties, and welcome back! Ganja Goddess here with another strain review. Today I have the Indica strain called Banana Daddy #10 from cultivator Ancient Roots. I’ve only tried one other strain from them so far and wasn’t too impressed. So going into this session I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Banana Daddy’s lineage consists of a blend of 3 strains. Grandaddy Purple, Big Bud, and Banana OG. Those three strains are all said to help with, chronic pain, various inflammatory issues such as arthritis or fibromyalgia. Muscle spasms, PTSD, and loss of appetite.

Ancient Roots knows how to make some seriously frosty buds, my batch looked almost white in certain lights. I was lucky enough to get one massive nug that was light green, dense, with just a little bit of orange fuzz. Banana Daddy #10 had an earthy but sugary sweet smell with just a bit of grape, citrus, and spice. The taste was pretty smooth. I don’t think I coughed at all. I was hoping this strain would help ease my muscle pain, stop a headache, help with depression, and calm down my anxiety enough for me to get more of an appetite.

After my 1st puff dry mouth instantly followed along with couchlock, pretty quick relief from pain, and anxiety. I also noticed how this strain made it feel easier to focus and concentrate. Like it was easier to turn the volume down on my anxiety but I wouldn’t say this strain helped me work through those anxious thoughts. The best way I can sum it up is I wasn’t depressed or anxious but I wasn’t feeling euphoric or giggly either. Just kinda chill and very sleepy with heavy eyes.

The Good:
This is a good strain if you’re looking to unwind after a long day or in my case a long car trip. It offers strong pain relief and a potent body buzz with mild cerebral effects. A really nice evening option for both new and experienced cannabis users alike.

The Bad:
That said this strain was not without side effects. I noticed Banana Daddy’s effects tend to peak and valley in waves which I could see as a little frustrating for medicinal users. I know I prefer consistent effects. Throughout my session sometimes my heart would race, there would be pressure behind my 3rd eye or I’d feel dizzy. Even though this strain brings some intense sedative effects I didn’t sleep through the night. Woke up once or twice, If you’re someone medicating for insomnia that might be something to consider.

Overall:
Banana Daddy #10 is pretty good overall, it’s strong and a little bit will go a long way. It shared a lot of qualities most of my favorite Indicas have. However, it wasn’t as well-balanced or well-layered as I would have preferred. Like Phantom OG is more euphoric, Paris OG or Qush #12 have longer-lasting medicinal effects that carry into the next day. Cherry Pie or Sweeties clears my head in a way that doesn’t feel like I’m just shutting the volume down etc.

For Fans Of:
Phantom OG, Northern Lights, Ice Cream Cake, Qush 12, Koffee Cake XI, Skywalker OG, and Paris OG
